Fifteen on the 15th - Nanjing, China!

Fifteen on the 15th - Nanjing, China!

Oh hello. What day is it? November 29th 2016.

No but actually is was October the FIFTEENTH! And why is that such a special day? My birthday has finally arrived after 360 days of perilous waiting. And not only was it the 15th, i turned 15 on the 15th! Like the title of this blog! Coincidence, i think not. But i'd just like to focus on the first photo of this blog. Four Der's and an ice rink. Look above the rink, there are restaurants and a few stores. So yes my birthday was a fine day. To confirm your assumptions, this is a shopping mall.

While this information soaks in, i'd like to avert your attention to the beginning of the day. For breakfast it was chocolate mousse, lemon cheesecake and pomelo. Then we took the subway and roamed an area named the Fuzimiou which is basically the Confucius Temple and on our way there, we walked through some food markets.

On the way towards downtown Nanjing, we saw this music store and i was thinking "Hey, haven't played piano in a while! And besides, when is a better time to play a little tune than on my birthday. If they don't like my playing, they can find a new job because my music is phenomenal. No but actually, it's okay because we won't ever see them again." In the end, there was this man who was always creepily staring at me. So i guess he enjoyed my music. Or found it rather amusing to look intently at one's fingers. I don't really know. (I'll start a new blog about how to defy such people in life :)

To sum up my day, we just ate and ate and ate. I'm not kidding. Ask the locals of Nanjing. Unless they are too busy restocking all the food that we ate up. Next, we went to where all the shopping centers and fashion boutiques were. It was honestly so large and modern. Western, Asian and European franchises and stores were everywhere. Don't forget the night life lights! And night life wives because i saw some couples taking some wedding photos! I know because i managed to get in them ;)

The reasons why i didn't shop, are many. Maybe even more, than the reason why i didn't shop on my special day. So why didn't i shop on my special day? Listen to this.. How on earth am i to navigate with 5 others (two being very small) through the malls that are 14 stories tall. Not only that, they also extended the mall underground with parts of the subways and alongside pedestrian traffic underneath the streets above. The language is different and the prices will be more expensive because all of the more recognizable brands would've been exported out of the country to China. Even if i did decide to buy something, i wouldn't want to lug it around everywhere...Hey i should try out for the debate team.

All aboard! (This train actually drives around the 5th floor for children. And possibly for 15 year old teens who enjoy children rides)

And that was my birthday! Of course it isn't all over because i still need to explain the first mall i wrote about right? Well that day was two days later but why not celebrate another day?! And even though it was during a Monday afternoon without many people, i still felt very overwhelmed. Even more so than the other night. This interior of the mall, the architecture and the malls were so luxurious. They had a Louis Vuitton, Prada, Cartier, Bvlgari, Dior, Hermes, Chanel, Tiffany & Co., Giorgio Armani and a whole bunch of other brands that i did not recognize. There was a hallway that had glass windows on either side to link a Phase I to Phase II of the Deji Plaza. And the second phase was all of the international brands along with luxury children apparel. And of course it has a real sized ice rink and an imax. With all of this luxury stuff we should just add a private helicopter for the Queen and to top it off with free gowns as a quick sample of entry. Don't forget to add an extra 50 levels. Oh wait...phase 2 is already 62 stories tall...

P.S. Once I thought i saw an Armani Junior. Lucky lucky children...

Okay this was a super super long blog so i won't hold you any longer. It was really fun to go exploring this city and the crazy expensive malls but i can't wait to tell you about the an ancient town that come next!! BYE!!!

I put tons of pictures in this blog so hopefully they all got time to load. Sorry if they didn't but that's okay because...SNEAK PEAK! (If it didn't load...well, hello, it's a sneak peak.)
